- I'm a mom of two little boys dipping my toes back into the journalism waters. In a previous life I was a freelance magazine writer and celebrity ghostwriter, including four years as a People magazine correspondent that will provide me with enough cocktail party anecdotes to last a lifetime. (And that's not even counting the time I went four wheeling with Brooks and Dunn. Dressed in camouflage, no less.) I'm originally from Long Island, but only miss the pizza.
